How to Cancel the Deutschlandticket Subscription:

As of now, the Deutschlandticket can be purchased via the INVG-Fahrinfo app and in our online shop. The subscription can be cancelled until the 10th of the previous month. Find out how to do it. 

 

Cancellation in the INVG-Fahrinfo App

If you have purchased the Deutschlandticket in the INVG-Fahrinfo app as a direct purchase, the cancellation does not take place in the app, but via the confirmation e-mail received. We explain how this works here..

  1. After the successful purchase of the Deutschlandticket in the app, you have received two automatic confirmation e-mails from our systems (also check the spam folder of your mailbox):
    1. The first e-mail contains the order confirmation and information about the debit.
    2. The second e-mail (this one has a blue horizontal stripe) contains information about the completion of the Deutschlandticket subscription. Here you will also find the button "CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION".
  2. Click the button "CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION" to cancel the subscription for the following month by the 10th of the previous month.
  3. Then, a browser window will open where you have to enter the following data of the ticket holder:
    1. e-mail address
    2. first name
    3. last name
  4. Confirm your entries by clicking on "SEND DATA".
  5. After that, the system will display the current Deutschlandticket subscription.
  6. The Deutschlandticket subscription will only be canceled on the date shown when you click on "CANCEL Subscription".
  7. You will then receive a confirmation of cancellation by e-mail.

Cancellation in the Online Shop

If you have purchased the Deutschlandticket subscription via the online shop (deutschlandticket.vgi.de), you must also cancel it there. Here we show you how it works.

  1. Log in to the online shop with your access data.
  2. In the "Ticket overview" you will see all active Deutschlandticket subscriptions.
  3. Select the requested subscription and click on the "pencil" at the bottom right.
  4. Then, a pop-up window will open with the details of the selected Deutschlandticket subscription.
  5. Click on the button "CANCEL" to cancel the subscription at the end of the month shown.
  6. If the cancellation was successful, a confirmation text will appear in the pop-up.
  7. You will then receive another confirmation of cancellation by e-mail.
