Note: From now on, the Bavarian discount ticket is available for students of THI and KU Eichstätt-Ingolstadt at VGI! It can be ordered exclusively in the Deutschlandticket Onlineshop. Valid throughout Germany on local public transport. The enrollment status is queried via Shibboleth.

 
Study and travel smart!

In Bavaria, enrolled students (at THI or KU EI-IN) can order a discounted Deutschlandticket. It costs 29,00 Euro per month, is non-transferable and can be used on local public transport throughout Germany.

 

Students will be able to order their reduced-price Deutschlandticket from the VGI from the winter semester 2023/24 onwards. The prerequisite for this is being enrolled at the Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt or the Katholische Universität Eichstätt - Ingolstadt. For this purpose, a query of the enrollment status will be made via Shibboleth.

Details at a glance!

  • Expected to be valid from winter semester 2023/24

  • Valid throughout Germany on 2nd class local public transport on all buses and trains

  • Available by subscription and costs 29,00 Euro per month

  • Means of payment: SEPA direct debit or monthly payment

  • Monthly cancellation possible (max. term)

  • Issued as an e-ticket in the VGI app. Ticket appears in the app on the following day

  • For enrolled students at THI or KU EI-IN only

  • Verification is done via Shibboleth

  • The subscription is only valid for the period of one semester. After the end of a semester, the Deutschlandticket must be ordered again for another semester.
