Handy-Ticketing with increasing popularity in 2019!

You can obtain your ticket conveniently, quickly, and cashless just within seconds on your smartphone – which so far was possible with SEPA direct debit, credit card, and PayPal – now also possible with GooglePay and ApplePay!

The digital payment methods make the ticket sale of the INVG in the city area of Ingolstadt even easier and faster.

Head mayor Dr. Christian Lösel, at the same time chairman of the board of the INVG, welcomes the progress of the digitalization in the public transport in Ingolstadt: "The implementation of the new payment options at the INVG – as pioneer in Germany – is a good example for the benefit of digitalization for our citizens; in Ingolstadt, the public transport is being consequently strengthened in all areas."

In March 2018, the INVG-Handyticket was introduced for the city area Ingolstadt and shows increasing popularity. While in the first months after implementation 1000 tickets per month were sold, the number steeply increased during the year 2019, so that the month of September set a record of 3300 sales.

CEO Dr. Robert Frank evaluates the progression positively: "Digital payment with the smartphone is a quick and comfortable option in order to obtain a ticket before the ride."
